My wife and I recently returned from an axis deer bowhunt with Texas Trophy Whitetails in Sonora, TX. The Outfitter/guide, Kieth Miller, took us out immediately on the first evening on the day we arrived and I harvested an amazing axis buck in velvet which is what my goal was entering the hunt. The rest of the time there I hunted for axis doe as I had tagged out on my buck immediately. The ranch is nestled in the Texas Hill Country with an abundance of game. Everything from whitetail to exotics depending on what you are looking for on your hunt. The accommodations are comfortable, but not extravagant and the outfitter, guides and cook are outstandingly hospitable during your stay. They go the extra mile to make your experience special and successful. I will return again next year.

I'd been wanting to hunt Axis deer for several years, but just couldn't make it happen. Then we ran into Keith Miller at the Harrisburg show, and he told us about his new place in Texas. We had hunted elk and antelope with Keith in Montana, so we knew we would be in good hands. His Texas ranch is covered with Whitetail, Sika, and Axis deer, as well as several sheep varieties. Keith set me up in 2 great locations on the first day to kill a monster Axis buck, and I succeeded! This is my second time hunting with Keith, and I cannot say enough about his knowledge, patience, professionalism, and hospitality. I'm looking forward to going back in the future for a sheep.

"I had the opportunity to hunt with Keith at Texas Trophy Whitetails on opening morning of turkey season 2019. We started out with turkeys gobbling at first light in every direction from our set up. Within the hour, we were on birds and I harvested a beautiful Rio Grande gobbler with 10.25” beard and 1.25” spurs. In the afternoon, I took another beautiful Rio on the same land. While hunting, I saw and heard many species of four-legged game I’ve never had the opportunity to see in my hunting experiences. It was great! We could also hear gobbling from the front deck of the lodge in the mornings and evenings. Keith was very friendly and hospitable, the lodging was nice and clean, and the home-cooked food was great. It was truly an unforgettable experience and I hope to be back some day.

Had a amazing hunt with Keith. Great hunting areas and amazing animals. Took my axis deer the first day and my ram on the second. These are truly free range hunts and worthwhile for all true hunters. Lodge was clean and well stocked. Was personally guided by the owner who truly cares about ethical hunting and management of his property. Will be back again no questions asked.

I've hunted with Keith in Montana and his hunts are always top notch. So, when he told me about his Axis hunts in Texas, I had to try it and I wasn't disappointed. We hunted in late May, so it was a great way to do some "off season" hunting. I was covered up in animals and Keith has some real, trophy quality Axis bucks. Just a super, fun hunt I'd highly recommend.

My son bought this trip for my upcoming 51, we had a great time and Steve was over the top with his hospitality. We will be back. In all of my years of hunting I have never witnessed what I saw on every hunt. Don’t let the “low fence” denture you from this place. I have been to high fence ranches and did not see the variety and numbers like this one!

"Had a blast hunting with Texas trophy whitetails. Steve is a class act good cook great guide and has a world of knowledge of the animals roaming the ranch. I reached out to Kieth for a free range fallow deer hunt. He told me he hadn't seen any free ranging fallow and wouldn't feel comfortable booking a hunt for one. Needless to say I was impressed with them from the first phone call with their honesty. I ended up booking a Sika hunt and taking a nice Sika buck. My husband booked a management whitetail hunt as a gift for my birthday. It was our first out of state hunt and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience! Steve and Keith are great guides! Our hunt was a little more challenging since the antlers had already started dropping, but we still left with 2 deer and a hog so they put us in the right spots. They cooked delicious meals and were all around nice guys! Definitely recommend!

My son and hunting buddy booked a three day turkey hunt. We only needed 1 1/2 days to kill out! This is an amazing property and the guys were great guides. They know their land and wildlife very well! We seen more long beards than we could keep count of and had a great trip.
