First afternoon's hunt was a blast going after these Rio Grande gobblers. After making a set up on a gobbling tom, we found out he had some hens with him and made our next move. that move ended with us pinned down with 4 strutting longbeards and 3 hens within 75-80 yards. They had us laying on our bellies hiding behind our 2 decoys. After 15 minutes we belly crawled into a ground blind closeby leaving the decoys 5 yards behind as it blocked a opening we had to crawl through. 45 minutes later another longbeard come in from behind us and strutted his way to the decoy's. With the strutting Tom 5 yards behind the blind we couldn't make a noise, or move. After a few minutes he started walking off and looped around a open window of the blind where the hunter dropped him in his tracks. Congratulations!
