Hunting Axis Deer

This hunter drove from California and harvested a trophy axis buck early in his hunt. Walking into the blind we spotted several bucks, this trophy axis offered us a good shot at about 75 yards and the hunter made it count. We where hunting our 10 square mile free range axis deer hunting property in Sutton County, Texas. This beautiful Hill Country property loaded with mature live oaks, open pastures, mesquite flats, and cedar draws is home to a very large free range axis deer population with plenty of trophy bucks.
