Our whitetail deer hunts in Texas are done over corn and protein feeders, as well as water sources strategically placed for the right winds giving you the best chance for success. You will be hunting from ladder or tri-pod stands, and very comfortable elevated box blinds ranging from ground level to 15 feet high. This area consists of mostly large live oak and mesquite trees with open pockets of grassland for a very scenic hunt. Archery stands are placed within 20-25 yards of feeders and water sources for plenty of excitement and opportunities. We have a very high success rate from these stands as you will be hunting in a very low pressured atmosphere on these Texas deer hunts. We monitor feeder activity with trail cameras before your hunt to help you stay on top of the best bucks that are active during your hunt. All archery stands are set up by bow hunters that provide high percentage shots taking full advantage of the unique Texas style of hunting and wind direction(s). Most shots should come between 10-30 yards. A range finder is also recommended. We have stands set up to accommodate just about anyone and are very flexible when requested a certain stand type or, someone that wants to hunt from a box blind. Our archery whitetail deer hunts in Texas start in early October and run through early January. Your trophy deer hunt takes place during the general firearm season in November and runs through into January. You'll catch the whitetail rut picking up steam in late November and runs through mid December. Late December hunts are also very effective at harvesting mature bucks as they hammer the protien feeders hard trying to replenish their losses over the riggerous rutting period. This is a fantastic time to set on one of our stands, or in a comfortable blind and take advantage of these conditions. Staying up to Date: We make sure all our feeders and water troughs are filled and working properly year round to ensure a consistent, high concentration of animals are using the area for your hunt. Limited Hunters: We can take up to 4 hunters per week. With this limited number of hunters on several private properties, we can offer a quality hunting experience to each hunter. This gives us the flexibility to move you within the area to fresh feeders without disturbing other hunters. Some ranches are large enough we can split them up and still maintain a quality hunt for everyone.

What to Expect: Our land has an excellent whitetail deer population with a buck-to-doe ratio that is very healthy, mature bucks being the rule, not the exception. Our private lands also harbor a very large free range exotic game population which can also be hunted during your stay. Axis deer, sika deer, fallow deer, blackbuck antelope, rams, aoudad sheep, wild hogs, and multiple other exotics can be hunted for trophy fees during your hunt. Very limited pressure ensures a quality hunting experience in which hunters should expect to see plenty of game during their hunt with us. By limiting this hunting pressure, we are able to increase the age structure of our whitetail bucks in the 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 year age class.

We have now reached a point where we have a very healthy, sustained age group of mature bucks of this caliber on our private properties. This unique opportunity gives our bow hunters a high success rate on trophy class bucks along with the interaction of observing a large whitetail deer herd in a relaxed atmosphere.

Your Hunt: Once hunters arrive at the lodge, each whitetail deer hunter will be assigned to a part of the ranch. Bow hunters will be placed in our archery areas with stands set up by bow hunters. Gun hunters will be placed in our gun hunting stands. All stands on the ranch will provide opportunities on one day or another. We are strongly focused on increasing opportunities for our hunters. You are not restricted to the same blind/stand day after day, under the right conditions, giving each stand a chance to produce for you usually pays off big. These are wild free roaming whitetails and different bucks will be passing by these stands with each new day. Being patient is certainly hard when hunting is narrowed down to a few days period of time. Rest assure that your guide will do everything within his knowledge and experience to allow you to harvest your buck within your scheduled hunt. You will be placed according to wind direction, pre-week & current observations, trail camera photos, up-to-date buck sightings, and guide/animal observations.

Our Ranches: We own and lease some of the best whitetail deer habitat in central Texas. We are continually managing these ranches to produce a healthy deer herd and lots of trophy class whitetail bucks. Each ranch varies in size and contains a mix of live oaks, mesquites, cedar, Hackberry, open grasslands, bedding areas, plenty of food and water, and lots of whitetail deer. With this much diversity, it’s no accident that Texas continues to produce solid Pope & Young bucks. Whitetails have everything they need to grow big here on our private ranches. With low hunting pressure, quality food, and lots of quality habitat, we will continue to produce big bucks like the ones you see in our photo gallery. Every ranch we own or lease has pope and young trophy whitetail deer on them. We do not over hunt anyone of our ranches. Our Texas Hill Country whitetail ranches are limited to 4 hunter per week. Within each ranch, areas are carefully rotated to assure hunters are hunting fresh areas each week for a quality hunting experience. Whitetail patterns are changing throughout the fall hunting season. If we feel the need to move you, rest assure it is for the better as we will continue to place you in the most productive areas to provide you with an opportunity at a trophy class whitetail deer during your hunt.
