Most trophy sika deer bucks have 4x4, or 5x5 antlers and considered a very prestigious trophy. The most effective hunting method for sika deer can be over food and water. We have a extensive year round feeding program of protein and corn to keep them on our properties. Water pumped from a well to several water troughs 365 days a year provides all the water these animals need even in the driest conditions. We allow Bowhunting trophy sika deer over these food and water sources from blinds and elevated ladder or tri-pod stands to increase you chance for success. Rifle hunts for sika deer take place on stands set up for rifle hunting. Spot and stalk, or high fence hunts can also be accommodated when requested.

Body weights on sika can range from 100 to above 300 pounds. Color patterns range from a dark brown to almost black in the Japanese race to a rich chestnut red with light spots in the Formosan and Manchurian races. Similar in appearance to elk, these sika deer also exhibit a bugle during the rut which can be heard echo across the rolling oak hills.
